    Notice of Abandoned Vehicle Auction

    The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works, Parking Division will hold an abandoned auto auction on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Almonaster Auto Pound (10200 Almonaster Avenue). The auction is the first since Hurricane Katrina. Vehicles can be viewed Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    The Department of Public Works, Parking Division would like all interested parties to note the following:

    Brown's Auction Company from Lafayette, La., is the State of Louisiana licensed, authorized dealer that has been awarded the contract to conduct auctions on all City of New Orleans equipment.

    Per the terms of the contract, the vehicle list includes the vehicle information number (VIN), make and model, and lien holder information.

    This information was published in the New Orleans Times Picayune on Friday, November 7, 2008, and Monday, November 10, 2008.

    The current auction will have 106 vehicles for sale.
